who does Jesus come for?

Jesus is very clear about His mission.

In today’s Gospel, Mark 2:13-17, we find Jesus eating with a group of sinners and tax collectors.  Some scribes and Pharisees observe Jesus eating with those considered outcasts by the religious structure of the day and say to His disciples, “Why does He eat with tax collectors and sinners.?”  They would have nothing to do with “those kinds of people.”  Jesus hears their comments and says to them, “Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do.  I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.”

Jesus comes for all of us who are sick in mind and body and soul – for those of us who are sinners!  Jesus comes for you and me!
