Are we among His sheep?

Do we count ourselves among His sheep? Something to reflect on!

Jesus says (John 10:22-30), “My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” Do we hear His voice? Jesus speaks to us in the Sacred Scriptures. Jesus speaks to us in the community of the Church. Jesus speaks to us through our brothers and sisters, even those we may not like. Jesus speaks to us in the magnificence of Creation. Jesus speaks to us in the depths of our hearts. Jesus speaks to us in moments of crisis. Jesus speaks to us in moments of exhilaration. There is never a time that Jesus is not speaking to us. We have to be attentive. Jesus speaks to us, calling us to follow Him – which means leading a life of conversion. Do we follow Him? Do we allow Him to work transformation in our lives? Jesus promises us that if we hear His voice and follow Him, “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. No one can take them out of my hand.” We are the people of the promise. Eternal life is ours. The price of eternal life is fidelity – following Jesus no matter what.
