The foundation of Christian faith

Today’s Scriptures state the foundation of our Christian faith:

1 – “God raised Him (Jesus) from the dead…” Acts 13:26-33. St. Paul tells us that if Jesus were not raised from the dead – if everything ended on Calvary – then our faith would be in vain. The Resurrection validates our faith and confirms the life and teachings of Jesus. We worship a living God, not a dead God. Jesus lives!

2 – Jesus says (John 14:1-6), “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” There are many great religious traditions. They need to be respected. They have much truth to teach us, but they are limited. The only way to God; the fullness of truth and the guarantor of eternal life is Jesus. There is no other!

Jesus Christ is the cornerstone, the foundation of our Christian faith. Blessed are we who believe.
